GETTING STARTED
Initial Charging of Battery
You need to make sure that your mobile phone's battery is completely charged prior to its initial use.
SIM Card
Your iCONNECT Prepaid Plus SIM Card works only with an IDEN sim-based handset provided by iCONNECT. Detach your iCONNECT Prepaid Plus SIM Card from the SIM Card holder and insert it into the slot in your mobile phone. Do not touch the golden metal contact plate or chip of your SIM card as this might damage it.
HOW TO USE YOUR WALKIE-TALKIE
1. To chat with prepaid subscribers with cellular numbers starting with: 868 prefix, dial 6* and the last 5 digits of the cellphone no. 878 prefix, dial 6*6 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.
2. To chat with Guam postpaid subscribers with cellular numbers starting with: 888 prefix, dial 1* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. 898 prefix, dial 1*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. To chat with a Guam Push-to-Talk only subscriber, dial 1* & the radio no.
3. To chat with Saipan postpaid subscribers with cellular numbers starting with: 888 prefix, dial 5* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. 898 prefix, dial 5*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. To chat with a Saipan Push-to-Talk only subscriber, dial 5* and the radio no.
4. To chat with Guam/Saipan Roamers with cellular numbers starting with: 888 prefix, dial 8* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. 898 prefix, dial 8*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. 5. To chat with a PTT only subscriber with Roaming Service, dial 8* & the radio no.
NOTE: Prepaid subscribers can call iCONNECT subscribers using different models with the exception of the i600 due to software incompatibility.
MAKING CELLULAR CALLS
Calling from Guam
- to another iCONNECT number in Guam, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no.
- to another iCONNECT number in CNMI, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no.
- to a CNMI landline or another CNMI cellular network, add 670 to the 7-digit telephone or cellular number.
Calling from the CNMI
- to another iCONNECT no. in the CNMI, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no.
- to another iCONNECT number in Guam, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no.
- to a Guam landline or another Guam cellular network, add 671 to the 7-digit telephone or cellular number.
GUAM-CNMI (SAIPAN, TINIAN & ROTA) ROAMING: You can use your cellular and walkie-talkie services both in Guam and the CNMI. Free Roaming activation. No monthly roaming fees.
MAKING AN IDD/INTERNATIONAL CALL
You can call IDD as follows:
Option 1 (International format)
- Press + followed by the country code, then the area code and the telephone
- number. Press SEND. Example: (Philippines) +63 2 8181234
Option 2 (International Access Code)
- Dial 011 followed by the country code, then the area code and the telephone
- number. Press SEND. Example: (Philippines) 011 63 2 8181234

AIRTIME CHARGES
Walkie-Talkie Service Unlimited use for only $1 a day whether in Guam or in the CNMI. The $1 amount is deducted every 12 midnight.

All cellular calls are rounded to a full minute. E911 charge of $1.00 is deducted from the first reload of each month and succeeding months as regulated by FCC.
NATIONWIDE MINUTES: ZERO LONG DISTANCE CHARGE!
All calls to the continental USA, Hawaii and Alaska are charged the same local cellular rate. Calling Dededo and New York is the same local rate.
International Rates
Canada - $0.20/ minute plus cellular airtime rate
Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan - $0.30/ minute plus cellular airtime rate
China and Japan - $0.40/ minute plus cellular airtime rate
Calls to toll-free numbers like 1800, 1888 and 1877 are charged local cellular rates.

RELOADING & BALANCE INQUIRY
There are 4 available call card denominations ($10, $20, $30 and $50) you can choose from. The Prepaid Plus Call Cards are available at the iCONNECT retail shops at the Micronesia Mall, GPO (by April 2005) and also at the iCONNECT office at N. Marine Drive, Tamuning. iCONNECT distributors include Payless Supermarkets, 76, Shell and Mobil gas stations, 7-11, Lasertel and other select stores.
How to Load
Lightly scratch off the protective label to reveal the call card number. Dial *55 followed by the 10-digit call card number. Press SEND. A text message will be sent that displays your updated balance.
Note: As a security measure, you are given a maximum of 5 attempts to successfully load a card after which, a message that reads "Retry count exceeded, please call iCONNECT" will be sent to your unit. You will need to call iCONNECT Customer Service at 671-888-8888 (Guam) or 670-235-0168 (Saipan) to unlock your phone.
How to Check your Balance
Dial *55 and press SEND to receive a text message with your updated balance.
For Unlimited Easy 20 subscribers (Unlimited PTT, Cell & Text for $20 per week)
1. Load $20 into your account.
2. Dial *52 to activate the Unlimited Easy 20 for 7 days.
3. You will receive an SMS asking for confirmation.
4. Dial *52 again to confirm.
You may switch from the Unlimited Easy 20 to the orignal prepaid service or vice versa without any reprogramming.
The Unlimited Easy 20 is a promotional offer and may be discontinued at any time.
ACCOUNT EXPIRATION
Account Expiration means that your account, including your mobile number, will be permanently disconnected and will no longer be allowed to make transactions including reloading. This occurs when the account has no prepaid credits (zero balance) and has not been reloaded for 90 days.
Once an account has expired, the SIM card may not be reactivated and the assigned mobile and radio numbers may be reassigned. Purchase of a new SIM Card (with a different assigned mobile and radio number) may be required for reactivation of the Prepaid Plus Service. A reactivation fee may also be applied.
PROGRAMMING YOUR PIN (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER)
Your PIN protects you from unauthorized use of your iCONNECT phone. If you choose to change your PIN code, you just have to go to the Settings menu of your phone. Your mobile phone will request for the original PIN code. Enter the default PIN which is 0000 (4 zeros). Refer to your mobile phone's user manual for detailed instructions.
Once your PIN is activated, you are given 3 chances to enter your correct PIN code whenever required. If you fail to enter the correct PIN 3x, your SIM card will be blocked and you need to bring your phone to the ICONNECT office for unblocking.
VOICEMAIL
Your prepaid account has the voicemail feature activated.
To set up or retrieve voicemail:
1. Dial *** and enter temporary pass code which is 1234.
2. Follow the automated attendant for further instructions to complete your voicemail setup, change the pass code or to retrieve your voicemails.
To deactivate voicemail:
1. Press MENU.
2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.
3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select DETAILED.
Under BUSY, NO ANSWER, UNREACHABLE or ALL CALLS >MENU >RETRIEVE STAT >OFF
To reactivate your voicemail:
1. Press MENU.
2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.
3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select DETAILED.
4. There are 4 conditions (Busy, No Answer, Unreachable or All Calls) you can choose from to have your calls transferred to your voicemail.
5. Choose one condition, press CHANGE and encode 999 followed by your phone number.
6. Confirm your number and press OK to activate this service.
CALL FORWARDING
To activate call forwarding:
1. Press MENU
2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.
3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select BUSY, NO ANSWER, UNREACHABLE or ALL CALLS.
4. Encode 671 (Guam) or 670 (CNMI) followed by the 7-digit telephone number you wish to forward all your calls to.
5. Confirm the telephone number and press CHANGE to activate the service.
To deactivate call forwarding:
1. Press MENU.
2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.
3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select OFF.
4. Confirm the telephone number and press CHANGE to deactivate.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I change my prepaid account to postpaid (with plan)?
Yes but a programming fee may be charged.
What is the minimum credit required for prepaid?
$0.25 to make or receive a cellular call. Once your credit reaches zero balance, your walkie-talkie service will also be disabled. You can only use the handset to reload or call 911.
Is there a maximum reload amount?
$200 is the maximum amount you can reload at any given time. Attempting to load more will result to a text message "maximum credit exceeded".
WEBTEXT/SMS (SHORT MESSAGING SYSTEM)
Receive text messages from anywhere in the world. Senders can go to sms.choicephone.com to send text messages to any iCONNECT subscriber. This is free and does not consume any credit from your prepaid account.
